Welcome to us Patrik Jonsson

Who is Patrik?

I am 48 years old, I live in Alnö, just outside of Sundsvallpatrik with two children close to adulthood.

What background do you have?

Before the IT bubble busted in the late 90s, I joined an education program to learn about computer and network management. It included a two-week internship, which for me led to my first real employment and quitting my studies early to move to Stockholm.

Since the Internet was made available, I had computers as a hobby and now it was also my profession. At work I spent a lot of time replacing old NT 4 servers with Windows 2000, and when I got home I worked on a dynamic web page for my favorite NHL team, the Detroit Red Wings.

I was introduced to Exchange Server early on, later adding SharePoint and OCS/Lync (before Skype was acquired and the name had to change - again) to my utility belt. In less ancient history, I have primarily worked with Microsoft 365 in general and identity management and automation of administrative tasks in particular.

What is your passion?

I like to solve problems and find ways to simplify complex solutions, which is usually why I end up with some kind of automation. Both at work and home.

What do you do on your spare time?

Until way too late into my 40s, I have always played soccer and been involved in the club in some way or another. For the last couple of years, I've spent too much time (and money) on creating a setup for streaming soccer games with as many bells and whistles as possible, compared to a professional game. Those days are now over, as the team folded, leaving more time to support my children's activities.

Why Onevinn?

At Onevinn I get to work with colleagues with a similar technical passion and great knowledge. I love to share knowledge and even more when others do it, which is why Onevinn is the right place for me.
