[Who are you?]
[What background do you have?]
I have a background in Network Engineering and IT Security from University West. The program was very hands-on and focused heavily on network infrastructure, including configuring routers and switches, troubleshooting, network design, migrations, and maintaining secure environments.
Before entering cybersecurity, I worked in customer-facing roles. I worked as a receptionist at the Hilton Hotel in Stockholm and later as a security Guard / Väktare at Securitas . Those experiences taught me a lot about communication, responsibility, and providing excellent service to people from different backgrounds.
[What is your passion?]
My passion lies somewhere between cybersecurity, networking, and service. What I enjoy most is the investigative aspect of the job. Every incident is different, and I find it rewarding to connect the dots, build a complete picture, and continuously learn through new challenges. I also enjoy the people side of the role. Coming from a hospitality background, I appreciate working closely with customers, helping them understand complex situations, and providing support when they need it most.
Outside of work, my greatest passions are my family and my faith. My family has always been a source of support and motivation. My faith is also a central part of my life and something I could not imagine living without. I spend a lot of my free time in church, both through worship and by helping with youth activities. For me, church is more than just a place of faith, it is a place of renewal, reflection, and community. It allows me to step away from the noise and pace of everyday life, recharge, and focus on what truly matters.
[What do you do in your spare time?]
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active. I try to spend some time in the gym and occasionally play both football and padel. More recently, I’ve also started playing golf, thanks to some of my colleagues and it’s something I’ve come to enjoy more and more. And as I mentioned earlier I also spend quite a bit of my free time in church and visiting my family in Stockholm, Also a large part of my free time is spent with my fiancée.
[Why Onevinn?]
Initially, my interest in Onevinn came through a classmate who was already working here. Before that, I had never heard of the company. After doing some research and learning more about what Onevinn does, I became increasingly interested in the organization. At first, I knew the company primarily for its cybersecurity services, but as I learned more, I realized there was much more behind it.
What stood out to me was the culture and the people. From the beginning, I felt welcomed and trusted with real responsibilities. As someone who joined while still studying, that made a big difference.
What I appreciate most today is the team dynamic. We spend a lot of time working together, especially within MDR, and over time your colleagues become much more than just coworkers. There is a strong sense of teamwork, openness, and support throughout the organization. The flexibility and understanding shown by both colleagues and managers create an environment where people can grow professionally while still maintaining a healthy balance outside of work. In many ways, MDR feels like a small family, and that is something I value highly.
